How to Find Louth Museum

From the North of Louth

  • Leave the A16 at the first roundabout of the Louth bypass (first exit - signed Town Centre B1520);
  • immediately turn right onto Grimsby Road. Pass Darke’s garage on the right and continue down the hill;
  • at the first crossroads at the bottom of the hill - turn left onto High Holme Road;
  • at the first crossroads at the bottom of the hill - turn left onto High Holme Road;
  • continue down the hill - at the bottom of Broadbank there are car parks on either side of the road;
  • Louth Museum is on the left - 20 metres beyond the entrance to car park on right-hand side of the road.

From the West of Louth

  • 200 metres after the A157 the joins the A631 – you approach a roundabout on the Louth bypass;
  • take the second exit (signed Town Centre B1200);
  • after 200 metres turn left (at the ornate Louth town sign) onto Saint Mary’s Lane;
  • at the crossroads at the end of St Mary’s Lane - cross over the Grimsby Road onto High Holme Road;
  • immediately at the top of the hill - turn right onto Broadbank;
  • continue down the hill - at the bottom of Broadbank there are car parks on either side of the road;
  • Louth Museum is on the left - 20 metres beyond the entrance to car park on right-hand side of the road.

From the South of Louth

  • Leave the A16 at the first roundabout of the Louth bypass (second exit - signed Town Centre B1520);
  • follow the road to the first set of traffic lights;
  • go straight over the traffic lights onto Upgate – follow the road to next set of traffic lights;
  • at the traffic lights – follow the road around St James Church onto Bridge Street;
  • continue along Bridge Street to the first crossroads - then turn right onto High Holme Road;
  • immediately at the top of the hill - turn right onto Broadbank;
  • continue down the hill – at the bottom of Broadbank there are car parks on either side of the road;
  • Louth Museum is on the left - 20 metres beyond the entrance to car park on right-hand side of the road.
